Turkish clubs’ association lifts ban on away games for supporters after failed coup attempt

AA photoA ban on supporters of Turkey’s largest football clubs attending away games has been lifted in a move to reflect the atmosphere of unity which emerged after the failed coup attempt of July 15, the head of the Clubs’ Association Foundation announced on Aug. 11.
Accordingly, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor and Bursaspor supporters will be able to watch the games together with the supporters of their opponents.
Recently, supporters of the five teams were not permitted to attend away games.
