Turkish Airlines plane returns to Istanbul due to engine malfunction

A Turkish Airlines plane returned to Istanbul while making its flight to Kazan due to a malfunction in one of its engines.

The Boeing 737-800 model-plane, which took off from Atatürk Airport at 21:10 on Dec. 9 with 80 passengers, was heading to the Russian city of Kazan, but had to return to the airport due to a malfunction in its left engine.

The plane landed at Atatürk Airport at approximately 22:20 on Dec. 9 without any problems. It was then taken in for technical maintenance.
