Turkey to join nine book fairs in 2012

These include the London Book Fair, one of the world’s most important books fairs where Turkey will become the guest of honor in 2013, the Frankfurt Book Fair and Tehran Book Fair, according to a statement.

The ministry will also organize many panel discussions, conferences, reading and listening events, shows as well as workshops during these fairs in order to provide international business opportunities. In addition to the nine fairs, the ministry will support participation in Cairo, New Delhi and Book Expo America fairs.

The fair schedule of the ministry is as follows: Abu Dhabi Book Fair (March 28-Apr. 2); Paris Book Fair (March 16-19); Bologna Children’s Books Fair (March 19-22); London Book Fair (Apr. 16-18); Tehran Book Fair (May); Peking International Book Fair (Aug. 29-Sept. 2); Moscow Book Fair (Sept. 5-10); Frankfurt Book Fair (Oct. 10-14) and Spain’s Liber Book Fair (Oct. 3-5).
