Three Israeli citizens who were injured in the March 19 suicide bomb attack in Istanbul were sent to Israel for treatment via private plane early March 20.

Five people were killed and 39 others were injured in a suicide bomb attack on March 19 in central Istanbul, on the busy İstiklal Avenue in Taksim.

Three of those killed in the blast were also Israeli citizens identified as 60-year-old Simha Simon Demri, 40 year-old Yonathan Suher and 70-year-old Avaham Godman, along with an Iranian, named as Ali Rıza Khalman, 31, and the bomber.

Meanwhile, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu also sent messages of condolences to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri over the deaths of their citizens.
