Teacher in Kayseri gets 41 years in jail for sexual harassment

A school teacher has been found guilty of sexual harassment against a number of his
students in the Central Anatolian
province of Kayseri.
The trial was launched after five students aged between 12-14 made sexual harassment claims against the teacher.
He
was acquitted in two cases, but the court found him guilty in the three
other cases, for which he has been given a 41-year jail sentence.
"God
knows that I am innocent," the man said.
The
Education Ministry had removed him from his position after the claims
came to light last year.
Following the court verdict, he was arrested
and taken to prison.
