Man wounded after fight over urination into Istanbul’s Bosphorus

Man wounded after fight over urination into Istanbul’s Bosphorus A man was wounded in the leg on Aug. 14 in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul after he was shot by two assailants whom he warned not to urinate into the sea, daily Habertürk has reported.

The two assailants, identified as Mücahit K. and Raşit A., reportedly began to urinate into the Bosphorus near the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s social facility on the İstinye coast at around 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, Latif Çavdar, who was working near the scene, asked the pair to refrain from the action.

However, a brawl erupted shortly after Çavdar’s warning as Mücahit K. drew his gun and shot Çavdar, according to the report.

Çavdar was taken to Sarıyer State Hospital for treatment after he was wounded in the leg.

The two assailants were beaten by Çavdar’s friends as they attempted to flee the scene after the incident. The duo were also transferred to Sarıyer State Hospital after they were beaten.

Police ultimately detained the assailants following their treatment in hospital.
