Man stabs friend over Facebook message expletives

A 36-year-old Turkish man suffered stab wounds Feb. 19 after being knifed by a 25-year-old friend over a Facebook message that contained expletives, according to Doğan News Agency.

Şani Demirci and Sami Y., who both live in the Central Anatolian province of Konya, met Feb. 19 after Demirci sent the latter a number of derogatory Facebook messages.

A fight ensued, during which Sami Y. allegedly stabbed Demirci’s left leg before fleeing the scene.

Demirci was subsequently taken to hospital. Police have yet to detain Sami Y. but have begun an investigation.
