Man died in Istanbul bomb blast

An official says that a man had died after a bomb he was carrying exploded.
Istanbul's Gov. Huseyin Avni Mutlu said the
blast occurred in the city's low-income Esenyurt district late Tuesday.
It was not clear why the man was carrying the bomb, or if he had links with the outlawed
Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The
PKK is recognized as a terrorist group by
Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
