George Dalaras to perform in Ankara The Greek Embassy in Ankara in collaboration with the Middle East Technical University (METU) is organizing a concert by George Dalaras as part of the annual cultural festival held at the university. 

On March 25, Dalaras, with his band and Ms. Aspasia Stratigou will first perform songs by Greek composers.

Then, during the second half of the show, they will perform pieces of the play “Asia Minor” by Apostolos Kaldaras.

Dalaras is one of the most renowned Greek artists whose reputation has reached across borders. In his 50-year singing career, he has recorded more than 95 personal albums with over 18 million copies sold all over the world, while he has collaborated in more than 75 other productions either as musician or producer, always expanding his musical horizons with his multifaceted creativity. 

He has given more than 750 concerts all over the world including major concert halls. Besides his musical pursuits, he has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR since 2006.
