Fenerbahçe takes on Samsunspor as Trabzonspor takes on Antalyaspor in two crucial games at the Ziraat Turkish Cup tonight.

Fenerbahçe, who is yet to win the domestic trophy since its 1982 victory in one of the most notorious droughts in Turkish football, will meet Samsunspor in the round of 16.

Samsunspor looks to run out of hope in its bid for survival in the Super League after remaining six points from Medical Park Antalyaspor, the first team out of the relegation zone.

Fener handed ban

No male supporters will be allowed for the game at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium after the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) handed a two-match ban to Fenerbahçe due to crowd trouble during last weekend’s Galatasaray game.

Antalyaspor has also a tough draw as it will host Trabzonspor, the 2010 winner after beating Fenerbahçe in the final, tonight.

In other round of 16 games, Eskişehirspor takes on Kasımpaşa and Çaykur Rizespor meets Kardemir Karabükspor.

In yesterday’s round of 16 game, Bursaspor needed two extra-time goals to knock third-tier Bugsaşspor out of the competition.

Sebastian Pinto and Turgay Bahadır scored the goals as Bursaspor won 2-0.
