One civilian was killed on June 22 when outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants attacked a police station in the Tatvan district of the eastern province of Bitlis.

Three PKK militants opened fired on a police station in the district’s Çağlayan neighborhood with long-barreled weapons at 10 p.m. The militants were killed when police officers responded to the fire.

However, one civilian who was passing near the scene during the clashes was killed, while two other civilians were wounded.

The operations in the region were ongoing.
