30 ISIL suspects detained in Turkey’s southeast

A total of 30 people, including 16 foreigners and nine children, have been detained in the border provinces of Kilis and Gaziantep for suspected links with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the Turkish General Staff announced on Feb. 2.Security forces detained 15 suspects, including two foreigners and nine children, in the Elbeyli district of Kilis, along with seven other suspects detained separately.
Meanwhile, eight foreigners trying to illegally cross into Syria were caught in the Oğuzeli district of the southeastern province of Gaziantep, the General Staff statement added.
