Turkish athlete gets closer to gold in London

Turkish sprinter Nevin Yanıt has qualified for the semifinals of the 100-meter hurdles at the London Olympics after winning her first-round heat, daily Hürriyet has reported.
Yanıt finished the race in 12.70 seconds.
"I am looking forward to tomorrow. I want to qualify for the finals," Yanıt said after the race. "I believe that I will get a good time tomorrow."
The semifinal will be run at 9:15 p.m. tomorrow.
