Siirt mayor in custody in KCK probe

Siirt Mayor Selim Sadak was taken into custody as part of operations against the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), the alleged urban wing of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Sadak was taken to a counterterrorism station for questioning. The Siirt Municipal Building was shut down during the operations.
Operations have been taking place in Batman, Mardin and Siirt.
Forty-seven people have been taken into custody so far.
