Protests across Ukraine against removal of defense minister

Large protests erupted in several Ukrainian cities on July 16 morning against the removal of popular Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

AFP reporters in Kiev saw hundreds gathered on a central square, waving Ukrainian and EU flags and chanting "shame" and "bring Fedorov back," a day after he announced his resignation as part of a sweeping government reshuffle ordered by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
