Golden Orange Festival increases prize money

The 49th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, which will be held between Oct. 6 and 12 in the southern province of Antalya, has announced an increase in the prize money that will be given at this year’s event.

According to a written statement made by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, this year’s prize money has been increased as follows: “The prize for best film increased from 350,000 Turkish Liras to 400,000 liras, and the Best Director Prize increased from 30,000 liras to 35,000 liras. Also, 30,000 liras will be given in the best music section.”

The statement also said the festival had received 45 national feature film submissions, 104 documentary submissions and 274 short film submissions. As a result of jury evaluation, 13 national feature films will compete in the festival while 13 films will compete in the documentary section and 20 films will compete in the short film section.
