Works by Turkish artists on display at Louvre Museum in mixed exhibition
PARIS
Turkish artists opened an exhibition on May 25 at France’s Louvre Museum as part of the International Contemporary Arts Fair in the French capital.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, the head of the Contemporary Turkish Artists Paris Association (ACT), Nazan Aktan, said the aim of the exhibition was to introduce Turkish artists as well as Turkish culture “in a way to refresh our image and to make us recognized”.
The exhibition is backed by Turkey’s Culture Ministry, she added.
This year, nine Turkish artists are taking part in the event featuring 30 works.
The exhibition, which features around 450 artists and more than 1,700 works, will run until May 27.
