Veteran Turkish actor Metin Serezli has died after a long term illness. He had been under treatment for cancer for a long time.

Serezli’s wife, Nevra Serezli, also a theater actress, was not with him when he died, but rushed to the hospital after she heard the news. Speaking to the Anatolia news agency, she said that her husband had lost his life at around 7 a.m. on Sunday.

He had been receiving treatment for cancer for the past two-and-a-half years.
