MFÖ to perform at Jolly Joker
ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News
Veteran Turkish rock group MFÖ will perform at Istanbul’s Jolly Joker tonight at 9 p.m. The group is one of the oldest and most important in the history of Turkish pop music, with a career spanning four decades. Mazhar Alanson met Fuat Güner in 1966, and they released their first album, “Türküz Türkü Çağırırız,” in 1971. They were joined the same year by Özkan Uğur, and the three have been together ever since. In the mid-1970s they made Turkey’s first music video for the song “Heyecanlı çok Heyecanlıyım,” under the name İpucu 5. Tickets for tonight’s concert are available at Biletix.com.
