One of London’s Tube stations will be named after world-famous Turkish weightlifter Naim Süleymanoğlu, Anatolia news agency reported.

London authorities have named Underground stations after legendary Olympic athletes on the eve of the 2010 London Olympic Games. Nordwood Junction station will now be named after Naim Süleymanoğlu, who won three gold medals in his Olympic career.

Süleymanoğlu is the only Turkish athlete on the list, which includes famous names as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Ian Thorpe, LeBron James and more.

Football player Jay Jay Okocha, who played for Turkish football team Fenerbahçe in the late 1990s, is also one of the athletes on the list.
