The Human Rights Center of the Konya Bar Association decided to send a humanitarian award to Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for his purported aid to Gaza.

“We were filled with emotions with the aid you have sent to the suffering people of Gaza,” the statement on the award read. “We thank for this kind and noble behavior.”

The center sent the award by post, but also called Ronaldo to pay a visit to the Central Anatolian province of Konya.

Despite the award, it was still uncertain whether the Portuguese footballer has made the donation or not.

Last month, a story that claimed Cristiano Ronaldo had sold his Golden Boot to raise 1.5 million euros and donated it to Palestinian children in Gaza went viral online. Countless messages praising Ronaldo were shared on social media after the reports, but the Portuguese superstar and his club Real Madrid did not confirm or deny the story.
