Hürriyet starts talks to sell main building

Turkey’s Hürriyet Gazetecilik newspaper company has started talks with an eager buyer to sell Hürriyet Media Towers, its main building in Istanbul, according to a filing to Istanbul Stock Exchange (İMKB) yesterday.

The complex in the Güneşli neighborhood also houses the company headquarters. The company had made public that it started a study on selling or finding a partner to develop the 58,610-square-meter site in an earlier filing to the bourse.

Any further developments on the issue will be submitted to the bourse, the filing also said.
Hürriyet Gazetecilik also owns the Hürriyet Daily News.
