Club Ghetto in Istanbul is celebrating its fifth year with a spectacular concert featuring Bibi Tanga & The Selenites. Tanga, a French singer who has an African origin, and his band, The Selenites, are set to take the audience on a trip through world music. Singer, bassist and bandleader Tanga bridges the divide between the arty South Bank of the Seine and the gritty suburbs, where he grew up as an immigrant from the Central African Republic. Tanga’s music is marked by slinky, sinuous basslines and a wicked falsetto that conjures up Prince and Curtis Mayfield.
