German book thief caught with 13,000-item collection

German police have uncovered a collection of 13,000 stolen books allegedly worth millions of dollars after searching the house of a 45-year-old man working for the Culture Ministry, according to NTVMSNBC
After a suspicious amount of books were reported missing at the Waldeck Castle Library in the town of Bad Arolson in the central state of Hessen, video surveillance footage was examined to reveal the perpetrator in action.
The ensuing search of the man’s estate revealed a collection of books from the 17th and 18th centuries. The man has since been relieved of his duties.
