Fair showcases Turkish marble

Turkish marble products garnered a great deal of attention at the Milan Marble Fair, which ended yesterday, according to Turkish exporters.

The six-day fair, titled “Thus Spoke the Marble: The Journey Alters You,” showcased several Anatolian marble products designed by both world-famous and Turkish designers.

Turkish groups attending the fair aimed to demonstrate Turkey’s position as a powerful marble production center, as well as the country’s commitment to design and innovation, Istanbul Mining Exporters Union (İMİB) Executive Erdoğan Akbulak said in a written press release.

He also said he hoped the fair would give Turkey the opportunity to augment its international image in the area of marble design and production.

With the close of the Milan Fair, İMİB and the Aegean Exporters’ Union are planning to take the marble exhibit first to Istanbul and then on the road to different global cities, according to the press release.
