Baroque Festival to celebrate 20th year
ISTANBUL
The 20th International Istanbul Baroque Festival will be held between May 3 and 8. Concerts, workshops, an organ seminar and an open air party will be organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival.The Austrian Baroque Consort soloists honor the festival this year, as they will perform an interpretation of Apollo & Daphne with the Istanbul Baroque, in memoriam of the victims of last year’s Gezi Park protests.
The concert venues for this year’s festival will be the Caddebostan Culture Center (CKM), the Cathedral of St. Esprit and the Austrian Culture Office Garden in the Yeniköy neighborhood. Tickets for all events can be purchased from Biletix.
