Erdoğan, Ahmadinejad won’t meet at Baku summit
AFP PhotoTurkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will not conduct a one-on-one meeting during the upcoming ECO Summit in Baku, daily Hürriyet has reported.
Both leaders will be attending the summit, but no special meeting has been arranged between them.
The lack of correspondence between the leaders follows a worsening of relations due to their opposite policies on Syria.
Erdoğan is, however, set to meet the leaders of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan while in Baku.
