Zurich ballet in Istanbul for conductor’s farewell
The 40th Istanbul Music Festival will host Zurich Ballet, directed by Heinz Spoerli, a leading European choreographer, for two successive nights at the Hagia Irene Museum on June 4 and June 5.
The 40th Istanbul Music Festival will host Zurich Ballet, directed by Heinz Spoerli, a leading European choreographer, for two successive nights at the Hagia Irene Museum on June 4 and June 5. The Zurich Ballet, a chef-d’oeuvre project truly enchanting for lovers of ballet and Bach, will perform Heinz Spoerli’s two different productions with Bach’s Cello Suits, performed by Claudius Hermann. The Zurich Ballet will perform “…und mied den Wind,” produced by Heinz Spoerli and based on Bach’s Cello Suits No.1, No.4 and No.5, on June 4 at 8 p.m. They will also perform “In den Winden Im Nichts,” on June 5 at 8 p.m., which is based on Bach’s Cello Suits No.2, No.3 and No.6.
