A Turkish national has been identified among the dozens of people killed in an attack in southern France on July 14.

According to Turkey’s Consulate General in Marseilles, a female Turkish citizen, identified as Silan A., had traveled from Germany to Nice on holiday.

Previously Silan A. and another Turkish national were reported missing and it was feared they may have lost their lives in the attack.

At least 84 people were killed and nearly 200 injured when a 19-ton van ran into crowds late on July 14 during Bastille Day celebrations in Nice.

French prosecutor Francois Molins announced in a news conference on July 18 that after an investigation, the identities of 71 fatalities had been confirmed among the 84 dead.
