Turkish consumers less confident: TÜİK

Turkey’s consumer confidence index decreased by 2.3 percent in March from the previous month, according to figures revealed by state-run statistic body TÜİK March 27.

While the index was 76.7 percent in February, it fell to 74.9 percent this month. The index of the general economic situation expectation in the next 12 months, which was 99 percent in February 2013, decreased by 1 percent in March 2013. This decrease shows that the number of consumers expecting a better general economic situation in the next 12 months decreased compared to the previous period.
