Leo Burnett Istanbul won the grand prize in the 10th Kırmızı awards, the prestigious ad sector awards, with a newspaper advertisement for the Istanbul Toy Museum.

Hundreds of local television and newspaper ads from advertisement agencies participated in the competition, which has been held annually since 2003. The awards, granted in 43 categories, were announced at a ceremony in Maçka Küçükçiftlik Park on Feb. 28.

Leo Burnett also received the prize for Best Newspaper Press Campaign, as well as five more prizes in different categories.

Medina Turgul was the winner of the night, being honored with a total of eight crowns, followed by Rafineri advertisement agency which won seven.

During the ceremony, participant ad teams also competed to prepare an advertisement for the Vodafone Red brand, by only using pens and papers. Voted for by attendees of the ceremony, Cihan Akköse and Tolga Ülkümen from the TBWA Istanbul ad agency ranked top among contestants.
