Turkish carmaker Tofaş has said it foresees investing 268 million euros in its light commercial vehicle Doblo over the next two years as it aims to export 175,000 Doblos to the North American market between 2014 and 2021.

Tofaş, in which Italy’s Fiat and Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding each own 38 percent, also said it extended the manufacturing of Doblo models from 2018 to 2021 with the impetus provided by the renewal project, in its statement to Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

However, the statement didn’t contain the details of the buy-or-pay contracts and capacity levels regarding the export.
