Tekfen Philharmonic to take Hagia Irene’s stage

Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra will give a concert June 9 at the Hagia Irene Museum as part of 40th Istanbul Music Festival organized by the Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation (İKSV). The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths. Conducted by Saim Akçıl, Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra is also known as The Voice of 3 Seas; a name that defines the geographical expansion of the orchestra’s formation, which comprises musicians from 23 countries, as well as professing its philosophy. The Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra performs music written for traditional instruments of the geographical region it represents, alongside warhorses of the classical repertoire. They also produce special projects as part of the group’s musical objectives.
