Suicide bomber kills 7 at police HQ in Iraq's Tikrit

A suicide bomber blew up a tanker truck at police headquarters in the Iraqi city of Tikrit on Monday, killing seven people and wounding 11, police and medics said.

Most of the casualties in the 8:40 am (0540 GMT) attack in the city, which was the hometown of executed dictator Saddam Hussein and remains a focus for insurgents, were police, the sources said.
