The son of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) deputy Sırrı Sakık committed suicide yesterday morning after jumping from the family’s fifth-story home in Ankara, daily Hürriyet reported.

Sakık found his son, Sidar Sakık, on the balcony after 1 a.m. yesterday morning as he was about to jump. The son jumped before his father could bring him down from the ledge.

Before he leapt over the edge, Sidar Sakık reportedly said, “I’ve really upset you; I don’t want to live anymore.”

The son was experiencing problems with his girlfriend and had been dealing with some issues, according to reports.
