Putin, Erdoğan discuss Syria, meeting at G20 over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed Syria over the phone and agreed to hold a face-to-face meeting in Germany, according to a Turkish presidential source on June 30.Erdoğan and Putin will meet during a G20 summit in the German city of
Hamburg on July 7 and July 8, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to media, said.
The presidents discussed the latest developments in Syria, particularly the Astana talks which will be held in the Kazakh capital on July 4 and 5, the source said.
