Prosecutors acquitted in Deniz Feneri case

Three prosecutors, who had been removed from the Deniz Feneri (Lighthouse) investigation in August 2011 for alleged impropriety, were acquitted today in a hearing at the Supreme Court of Appeals, daily Hürriyet has reported.The three were accused of misleading the authorities into seizing assets belonging to companies in which the suspects were shareholders, even though a court had rejected the measure.
Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also followed the trial in Ankara.
