Pera Museum salutes Halloween with films

Pera Film is set to salute the scary Halloween season by screening a series of Dutch horror films throughout the month of October.

The event will screen “De Lift” (The Elevator), which was released in 1983 and distributed worldwide by Warner Brothers. The Dutch press has hailed the growth of new horror films from the country as “Nederhorror.”

Since the early 2000s, there has been an increase in the number of horror films that have been produced in the Netherlands and a number of horror film festivals have been organized in recent years.
In collaboration with the Dutch Film Institute EYE, Pera Film will present a special selection of contemporary Dutch horror films with award-winning movie.
