Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom received a rapturous welcome from Turkish fans when he arrived in Istanbul from London on March 19 ahead of an advertising campaign in the city.

The actor, who has gained fame for his roles in “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Lord of the Rings,” did not disappoint his fans as he posed for photos with them at Atatürk Airport.

The actor is in the city for the first time for an advertising campaign with an ice cream company. “I am very happy for the collaboration. I am in Turkey for the first time and very excited. I have always wanted to come to Istanbul as I have heard many good things about this place. I want to visit Sultanahmet and the historic peninsula,” Bloom said.

In the meantime, it was reported that Bloom’s wife, Miranda Kerr, who is one of the most famous Victoria’s Secret models, will come to Turkey for a fashion event, the Dosso Dossi fashion show.

The show will take place in the southern province of Antalya between June 5 and 11. The event has previously hosted other famous Victoria’s Secret models, including Isabeli Fontana, Erin Heatherton and Adriana Lima. Kerr will present four dresses in the show and stay in Turkey for three days.
