MÜSİAD set to open offices in six regions

ISTANBUL - Anatolia News Agency
The Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) plans to open offices in Beijing, Washington, Jeddah, Brussels and Addis Ababa.

MÜSİAD is working to increase its international influence while strengthening its domestic organizational structure, Chairman Nail Olpak said late July 23 in his speech at a fast-breaking meal.

“Along with current representative offices, we will carry out intensive work in six prime regions including America, the Pacific, Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. Accordingly, we plan to open offices in Beijing, Washington, Jeddah, Brussels and Addis Ababa,” he said.

The business organization has located a spot for a liaison office in the U.S., he said, adding that work on other regions was accelerating.

Turkey made a great leap forward in many fields in the last 10 years and many thresholds have been passed both in political and economic areas, he said. “[Yet] individuals and institutions should not rest on their laurels and [should] adapt to developments.”
