Masnavi application now in smart phones

AA photoMevlana’s famous work Masnavi will be available in 13 languages on smart phones with Android and iOS.
The application has been developed by Konya Municipality and is available for free via the Goggle and Apple app stores online.
Users of the application are able to sign certain parts, take notes on the work and also send the poems in a list.
The application also includes Ney sounds and photographs of the Mevlana Museum. The photography album can be viewed separately. The short messages and quotes of Mevlana can also be sent via text messages.
Konya Mayor Tahir Akyürek said the application was available in 13 languages, including Turkish, English, Arabic, Japanese, French, and Chinese. Later on the application will be increased to 22 languages. So far, the famous work Masnavi has been translated into 20 languages and is currently being translated into Russian and Malaysian.
Akyürek earlier said the Persian text was first translated into Turkish, and that they are currently supporting other translation projects.
The work has been translated into French, Spanish, English, Chinese and Greek and translation projects are still continuing, said Akyürek.
Akyürek added that the Konya City Guide is also available as an application to download.
