One of the most charismatic and multitalented wind instrumentalists working today, Martin Fröst is a frequently sought-after name for his powerful and stylish tone and glamorous technique.

Winner of the 1997 Genève Competition and BBC 3 New Generation Artist 2003-2005, Fröst works at a high level throughout the world – with a repertoire that encompasses not only all of the mainstream clarinet works, but also includes a number of contemporary commissions.

Appearing regularly at leading music centers and with major orchestras worldwide, the Swedish clarinetist is taking the stage with the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra, an orchestra renowned for its rich and homogeneous strings tone. Often collaborating with distinguished soloists such as Lang Lang, Janine Jansen, Maxim Vengerov, Julian Rachlin, Shlomo Mintz, Sabine Meyer, Mischa Maisky and Lars Vogt, the orchestra frequently appears at the major musical centers and festivals of Europe.

Appointed by Lorin Maazel as first concertmaster of the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra in 1999, Radoslaw Szulc undertakes the artistic direction of the orchestra.
