Kurdish play goes to Anatolia

The Kurdish play Daf (Trap), written by Aydın Orak, is beginning a tour through Anatolia.

The play tells the story of soldiers who are waiting and protecting the border, according to a written statement made by the team. The soldiers quarrel about death and the border.

The first staging of the play took place at the 18th Istanbul Theater Festival and 17th International Ankara Theater Festival. The play is now being staged with a new directing team. The tour program of the play is as follows: Dec. 21 -Mardin, Dec. 23 -Kızıltepe (Mardin), Dec. 24 -Diyarbakır, Dec. 25 -Nusaybin (Mardin), Dec. 26 -Batman, Dec. 27 Ergani (Diyarbakır) and Dec. 29 Doğubeyazıt (Ağrı).

The play is produced by Tiyatro Avesta. Dilan Güçer, Remzi Pamukçu and Aydın Orak have the leading roles.
