Istanbul Poetry fest begins with concert The 7th International Istanbul Poetry Festival will start May 29 with an opening concert by the Borusan Quartet at the Hagia Irene Musuem. The concert is open to the public, and tickets are available at www.biletix.com. The poetry festival will run through June 2. Sait Maden, Hilmi Yavuz and Kemal Burkay will be presented with honorary awards at the opening ceremony for devoting their lives to art of poetry. The festival’s general coordinator, Güven Karataş, and festival director Salih Zeki Tombak will deliver speeches at the opening ceremony.
