Healing herbs come to Bodrum
MUĞLA, Bodrum
The popular seaside town of Bodrum, in the Aegean province of Muğla, is to host the two-day Bodrum Herb Fest this weekend. Organized with the support of the Bodrum Municipality Women’s Information and Education Center (KADEM), Yalı Municipality and Bodrum Culture and Arts Group, the festival will introduce edible herbs which are also said to have miraculous health benefits. KADEM plans to make the festival a traditional one in future years. The festival will take place in the Yalı district’s Gerenkuyu area and feature various organizations and competitions. Villagers will sell their herbs in a market between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Alongside the herb exhibits, Bodrum’s musicians and the regional herb dishes on offer will add sound and flavor to the event. Children will also be able to plant seeds during the festival.
