Foreign Minister Davutoğlu holds phone diplomacy with Russian counterpart Lavrov

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu discussed with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov the talks on Iran's nuclear program and the latest developments in Syria in a phone meeting on Nov. 9.Lavrov informed Davutoğlu on the ongoing P5+1 talks with Iran in Geneva, while both reiterated that they should have closer cooperation regarding the crisis in Syria, diplomats told Anadolu Agency.
The two counterparts also talked about preparations of the Turkey-Russia High Level Cooperation Council due to be held in Moscow later this month. The summit, which will be attended by a number of ministers from both countries, is also expected to deal with crucial issues such as Syria.
