Flying Broom Fest waits for short films

ISTANBUL
Submissions for “18 in 5 Minutes” short film competition held by Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival have been opened.

The competition, which takes place as a part of the festival in its 18th anniversary, focuses on “Turning 18” as a theme and it expects directors to turn their camera lenses to different dimensions that reflect the age of 18 based on their own experience or individual/social life observations.

The most remarkable feature of the competition is its content that is designed by the Young Board which represents rejuvenescence, related with the theme of the 18th Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival and is formed of students from different universities.

The deadline for the short film competition submission is March 15. The top three films and two jury special selection films will have the chance to be presented during the festival after the evaluation of the jury members Berrin Balay, Eren Yüksel, Andreas Treske and two young moviegoers.

The festival will be held between May 8 and 18 this year. Feature, documentary, short and animation films produced in 2014-2015 will be screened during the event.
