Fest calls for young jazz musicians

The event provides a platform for young musicians to show their talents.
The 20th Istanbul Jazz Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), is calling for young jazz musicians to take the stage at the event this summer.The Young Jazz event provides a platform for young musicians and bands representing the genre. The event is set to take place between July 2 and 19, in collaboration with Babajim Istanbul Studios & Mastering. Those wishing to participate in the event and show off their talent should send their demo records to the festival office before May 10.
According to a statement made by IKSV, musicians’ demos may be submitted in a variety of styles including fusion jazz, rock jazz, blues jazz, Latin jazz, acid jazz, soul, R&B and electronic jazz. Musicians under 30 years of age who have never released an album are eligible to apply for a spot in the line-up at Young Jazz.
