Erdoğan to chair reform action group meeting on EU Day

Turkey will hold the sixth Reform Action Group meeting for the first time under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Europe Day when the government’s political, economic and legal reforms for the stalled EU process will be discussed.

Erdoğan will chair the meeting with the participation of Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu on May 9.

They will discuss the works to be carried out in regards to fulfilling the remaining six benchmarks for visa liberalization for Turkish nationals to visit Schengen area countries. Turkey held two action group meetings in August and December 2018.
