Doğan Holding has revealed the names of its independent board member candidates in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange late June 6.

Doğan Holding board will vote whether to elect Tayfun Bayazıt, Ali Pandır and Ertuğrul Fevzi Tuncer to the board at a general assembly meeting June 27. Bayazıt and Pandır recently left Koç Holding, while Tuncer works as an advisor in the energy sector.

Publicly traded firms on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (İMKB) have to assign as many independent members as one third of seats on management boards, according to the new trade code. Doğan is a Turkish conglomerate predominantly active in media, energy, industry and financial services and some 32.8 percent of the holding’s shares are traded on the İMKB, according to its official web site.
